Itinerary
- Hotel Pick-Up: We begin the tour with pick-up from your hotel located in the historic center of Cusco. Our professional guide and tourist transportation will accompany you throughout the journey.
- Cusco Main Square: Our first stop is the Plaza de Armas, the historical and cultural heart of Cusco. Here, your guide will explain the importance of this square during the Inca period and the Spanish colonial era, surrounded by beautiful churches and colonial buildings.
- Cusco Cathedral: Optionally, we visit the Cusco Cathedral, one of the most important religious buildings in Peru. Inside, you can admire impressive examples of Cusco School art, colonial paintings, and intricate wood carvings.
- Qoricancha – Temple of the Sun: Next, we head to Qoricancha, the most sacred temple of the Inca Empire, dedicated to Inti, the Sun God. This site perfectly illustrates the advanced Inca stonework and the contrast between Inca and Spanish colonial architecture.
- Sacsayhuamán: Leaving the city, we visit the impressive Sacsayhuamán, a monumental Inca ceremonial and military complex. Its massive stone walls and panoramic views over Cusco make it one of the most iconic sites in the region.
- Q’enqo: We continue to Q’enqo, a ceremonial center where the Incas performed religious rituals. The site features underground passages, carved altars, and a mysterious semicircular amphitheater.
- Puka Pukara: Our journey continues to Puka Pukara, a former military outpost that served as a control point and resting place for travelers entering Cusco.
- Tambomachay: The final stop is Tambomachay, known as the “Inca Baths,” a site dedicated to water worship and royal recreation. Its flowing fountains still operate perfectly today.
- Return to Cusco: After completing the tour, we return to Cusco and drop you off near the Main Square.
