Itinerary
- Early Morning Departure from Lima: The tour begins early in the morning with pick-up from your hotel in Lima. We travel north along the Pan-American Highway, passing coastal deserts, fertile valleys, and small towns. During the journey, the guide will introduce the history and significance of Caral.
- Arrival at the Supe Valley: Upon reaching the Supe Valley, the landscape changes dramatically from desert to green agricultural fields. The guide explains how this environment supported the development of one of the earliest civilizations in the world.
- Guided Visit of the Sacred City of Caral: We begin a guided tour of the Sacred City of Caral, exploring its impressive pyramidal structures, ceremonial spaces, and residential areas. The guide explains the advanced urban planning, architectural techniques, and social organization of the Caral civilization.
- Main Pyramid and Sunken Plaza: We visit the Main Pyramid, the most prominent structure in Caral, followed by the Sunken Circular Plaza, a ceremonial area believed to have been used for public gatherings and rituals. The guide shares theories about religion, music, and daily life in ancient Caral.
- Exploration of Secondary Structures: The tour continues through smaller pyramids and residential zones, offering insight into the social hierarchy and peaceful nature of this civilization, which developed without evidence of warfare.
- Free Time and Lunch Stop: There is free time to explore the site and take photographs. Lunch is arranged in a local restaurant in the Supe Valley or nearby town (lunch not included unless specified).
