Itinerary
- Early Morning Departure from Cusco: The tour begins very early in the morning with pick-up from your hotel in Cusco. We travel by tourist transportation to the train station located in the Sacred Valley. Along the way, you will enjoy changing landscapes, from Andean valleys to subtropical vegetation.
- Train Journey to Aguas Calientes: From the train station, we board a scenic train to Aguas Calientes, also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo. The journey follows the Urubamba River and offers spectacular views of mountains, cliffs, and cloud forest scenery, providing a relaxing and memorable travel experience.
- Bus Ride to Machu Picchu: Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, we take a short bus ride up a winding mountain road to the entrance of the Machu Picchu Archaeological Sanctuary.
- Guided Tour of Machu Picchu: Inside the citadel, you will enjoy a guided tour lasting approximately 2 to 3 hours. Your professional guide will lead you through the most important sectors of Machu Picchu, explaining its history, architecture, and spiritual significance. You will visit ceremonial temples, agricultural terraces, residential areas, and panoramic viewpoints.
- Free Time in Machu Picchu: After the guided tour, you will have free time to explore the site at your own pace, take photographs, and fully appreciate the mystical atmosphere of this ancient city.
- Return to Aguas Calientes and Lunch: We descend by bus back to Aguas Calientes, where you will have time for lunch at a local restaurant (lunch not included, unless specified).
- Return to Cusco: In the afternoon, we board the return train and then transfer by vehicle back to Cusco, arriving in the evening and dropping you off near your hotel.
