Itinerary
Early Morning Pick-Up: The tour begins very early in the morning with pick-up from your hotel in Cusco. We travel by tourist transportation through the southern valleys of Cusco, enjoying scenic views of mountains and rural villages.
Breakfast Stop: We stop at a local restaurant along the route to enjoy breakfast and prepare for the hike (breakfast included if specified in the program).
Arrival at Trailhead: After continuing our journey, we arrive at the starting point of the hike to Rainbow Mountain. Our guide will provide a safety briefing and information about the trail and altitude.
Hike to Rainbow Mountain: The hike to Rainbow Mountain takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on walking pace and weather conditions. Along the way, you will see llamas, alpacas, snow-capped peaks, and stunning landscapes typical of the Andes.
Rainbow Mountain Viewpoint: Upon reaching the viewpoint, you will have free time to take photos, enjoy the spectacular scenery, and appreciate the natural colors of the mountain formed by mineral deposits over millions of years.
Descent and Lunch Stop: After enjoying the site, we begin the descent back to the trailhead. We then travel to a local restaurant for lunch (lunch included if specified).
Return to Cusco: In the afternoon, we return to Cusco and drop you off near your hotel.
